Nicolai von Steinaecker

Nicolai "Nico" von Steinaecker is our German Director, heading the local practice of the firm. As a former layer, he joined the recruitment industry in 2004 and ever since worked at the gateway of Legal & Compliance Search with a focus on in-house assignments. Before Nico joined Laurence Simons in 2019, he worked for other recruitment companies, including a German Boutique as well as an international competitor. Based in our Frankfurt office, he, together with his team, is covering Germany, Austria, Luxembourg, and Finland as well as the CEE countries. His works for the hidden champions of the "German Mittelstand", family offices, German corporations and international subgroups, Fortune 500 as well as FTSE 100. While his sweet spot is on senior assignments like General Counsel, Team Leads as well as Chief Compliance Officers, he regularly helps clients with the further build-out of their teams. Nico has a long track record in all sorts of sectors while in recent years, he has focused on Life Science, FMCG, Industry as well as Financial Services.
