About the Employer: Leading Global Private Asset Growth Investor
Summary:
Our client is a leading global private asset growth investor with a variety of fund strategies across private equity, growth capital, and credit. The successful candidate will be a key part of the client’s legal team becoming a key stakeholder in the capital raising and fund management lifecycles and adding value to all related legal and regulatory aspects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Play a lead role in the management and execution of all legal and regulatory topics
- Work with senior colleagues to develop and confidently input into legal fund strategy. Gatekeep that strategy through the drafting, negotiation and completion of all key documents.
- Partner with the client’s investor relations team to facilitate the capital-raising process and protect the business.
- Manage external advisers with respect to all legal and regulatory matters related to the main fund.
Role Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer with 8-10 years PQE with private funds experience at a leading law firm or other asset manager. If coming from private practice, GP secondment experience is a must.
- A detailed understanding of the alternative asset and private credit industries and a genuine enthusiasm for them.
- A track record of staying on top of the latest developments and market practices in the private funds (and particularly the private credit) space.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, both internal and external. Ability to maintain and manage external counsel.
