Summary:
This role has become increasingly critical as the firm has grown more complex and expands on recent extensive investment in the firm’s support functions. The team now requires the addition of a highly skilled GC to cover the full range of legal matters.
Prior experience working in Private Equity is a must, with a preference for a background in funds & investment management.

Role Description:

Assist with all aspects relating to investment management entities, fund formation, and management, as well as overseeing external counsel handling transactions.

Provide day-to-day legal advice and perform company secretarial duties.
- Oversee the firm's compliance function.
Role Requirements:

+10 years' experience of legal practice as a Solicitor obtained from a combination of work in private practice at a commercial law firm and experience in-house in a senior legal role in a PE investor or asset management firm.

Excellent academics and legal training at a well-regarded law firm.

Technically excellent, with a strong background in fund formation and fund management.

Experience in optimising investment manager/advisor group structures.

Experience overseeing a risk & compliance function, and experience with wider regulatory legal matters.

Experience with permanent capital / continuation vehicles would be advantageous.

Experience advising on cross-border PE transactions and portfolio company management.

Experience managing and developing a team of lawyers.

Experience supporting a diverse group of businesses and managing teams of lawyers.

Having worked in or with different jurisdictions, with a strong mix of international stakeholders.
